Must be careful that both versions are exactly equivalent, esp. in difficulty: split-test reliability you have two parts to the test then check the correlation b/w the two scores (are the scores consistent?). Measuring what they"re supposed to measure: predictive validity if scores on the test in question are able to predict another independent measure, then the test had predictive validity. On a culturally-fair test, all people should have an equal chance of doing well regardless of their cultural background. Intelligence is a set of independent, individual abilities ( not a general trait) Factor analysis determines where questions on tests are related or not: book, 2*9, cloud, 5 - 7. Nature/nurture controversy: family studies assess influence of heredity on i. q. by examining blood relatives & seeing how similar the i. q. scores of both are.
