Document Summary
Two general types of counterbalancing where testing subjects more than once/condition: reverse counterbalancing lets say we have 4 conditions and we randomly pick bcda so if they have to be tested again and we use this type we have to just reverse these conditions adcb you have to keep repeating this condition like for example: bcda and adcb some cons about these subjects might start noticing the pattern, block randomization you would put as acdb and put the papers back in and you might get for ex. Figure 7. 1: for random assignment we use an independent group design, for matching we would use t test for related independent groups because people are related and have something in common, for ex post facto we would use the independent group design this needs to have separate independent groups, repeated measure design we would use related dependent group.
