First thing you need to do is that social psyc is in the realm of psychology and psychology is a social science. Formulate hypothesis - little theories about what we observed - not always the case, by its usually about the causes of what we observe. We really like to study the causes of things. We have a reason of what we think explains the observation. Testing the hypothesis - by making further observations - making the observation or conducting a little experiment. Most hypothesis really don"t stand up too well when it comes to testing - mostly methodological. Then you go back to one, and you keep going on and on. Suggested by some:replication - getting the same result again.
