Document Summary
Redirected behavior is conceptually similar to the freudian concept of displacement (burghardt, 1973). In redirected behavior the appropriate responses (e. g. , attack) occur, but not to the appropriate object, because of a conflicting motive (e. g. , fear). Such redirected behavior is often redirected behavior focused on a nearby organism or inanimate object. 2 of sleep (carlson, 2001): in stage 3 another wave pattern is seen called delta waves 3. 5 hz). These large slow waves occur during 20 to 50% of the sleep stage: when these slow waves occur more than 50% of the time, the person is said to be in stage 4 of sleep. Stage 4, in which these slow, high-amplitude waves become dominant, will be reached approximately 30 to 45 minutes after initially falling asleep. Stage 4 sleep, the eeg pattern begins to change again to. Stage 3, then to stage 2, and finally to stage 5.
