Very important part of the brain to sustain life, breathing eating etc. Medulla oblongata: reflexes vital to survival (breathing, hr) (part of the spinal cord, but contained within the skull) -- kahoot. Pons: crossing point for axons (pons means bridge-> for axons to cross from one side of body to the other) Animals have diff forebrains, including size and even shape. Corpus callosum: connects each hemisphere together central sulcus: divides parietal lobe & frontal lobe. Located at the posterior end of the cortex.
