Sexual assault is the highest faulty eyewitness crimes isn"t likely to have dna, that"s why sexual assault is so high. The victim, even in close proximity, in identifying the face can still get it wrong. In lab, people are less likely to be motivated to pay attention. In field, people may be more motivated to pay attention, but no one really knows what exactly happened, and you end up having to make assumptions. Whether you recognize something at the time of the incident.
