Most people establish a gender identity consistent with their external reproductive organs. Transgender people have a gender identity that is not constant with their biological sex (his draws attention because it is not constant with our norms of gender expectations) Across gender identity, people vary in their gender attitudes (beliefs about the appropriate traits, interests, behaviours, and roles of females and males. Self-esteem: how we evaluate ourselves (low: evaluate as negatively, high: evaluate as positively) The way we perceive ourselves influences our attitude about ourselves. Attitudes about gender roles actually influence how we behave. Is the acquisition of the traits, behaviours, and roles that are generally associated with one"s gender. There is no support for observational learning, unless there is a reward. Children will often imitate same-sex behaviours if not given a reward.
