What is a hypothesis?
Independent Variable is manipulated
Extraneous Variable: Variable that you want to prevent
from affecting outcome of your experiment.
Experimental Control:
Hold environment constant (except for IV)
Make sure that the characteristics of your participants are
equivalent.

experiments that lead to plausible alternative
interpretations (confounds)?
