Description
James Bay: The Wind That Keeps on Blowing – David Suzuki • The Inuit and the Cree live here • Living here is very difficult, the winds are cold and finding food is difficult. • Nothing is wasted, they use all of the parts of the animal killed • In exchange for their land, they were given money and were allowed to fish and hunt on only 17% of the land • The first project they were lied to, they said there would be no environmental damage • The new reservoirs poisoned the fish with mercury, making it inedible • They think about mitigating the damage, not avoiding it
