Description
October 21, 2013 Herman Mundi (211578770) Tutorial #9 Questions for Oct 23Labour Market 1. Explain the growth of the service sector in Canada and the implications for Canadian workers. The tertiary sector also known as the service sector started off with 31% Canadians  employed in the late 1800s. Over the course of time due to Canada’s economic growth,  the service sector saw a boost. By 2008 76.5 % Canadians were employed in the service  sector. Late 1800s and early 1900s everything was depended on the primary sector but  the roles reversed starting from the mid 1900s when services were more dominant. This  shows that the economy we live in today is more dependent on services then anything  else. Many factors played significant role in the change of the more dominant sector.  With new technology’s we have today like machines and robots doing the work, results in  less humans working. Service
