Colonialism: is a system of economic, political, social and cultural domination of one group of people over another. Colonialism in canada was in attempt to assimilate non-european culture to european culture. Colonialism includes: transfer of land (through force or strong handed), the imposition of european civilization, changing the political system to euro- centered and democratic. Also, all european cultural practice were to be in place of indigenous cultural practices. Within indigenous culture there were multiple tribes, which included 11 language families. mental and body wellness.
