French revolution late 17th c and the revolutionary age great modern public comes to life, the public shares feelings and ways of living pertaining to personal, social and political aspects in their lives. From this the sense of living in two worlds simultaneously has emerged, the ideas of modernization and modernism unfold. As a result we ind ourselves in the midst of a modern age that has lost touch with its roots of modernity.
