Through this grant proposal we will try to answer how dalit women in tamil nadu, india can overcome societal boundaries through their various methods of expression in art, cultural music, and clothing. The objective of this grant is to provide dalit women with equal treatment in a caste based society that recognizes them as people and not as objective beings that they are perceived as. Along with giving dalit women a means of financial independence that they can use to create a sustainable living for themselves and their community.
