2 purpose of law: to avoid mischief (punish people, distribution of resources. Treating people equally would mean different things depending on what the purpose of the law is. Mostly indigenous person + people who are mentally deficient. Blinded by their prejudices in the article. 5 ways to see how a law is reasonable or not: (m/b|t) Mischief + benefit we are trying to. Not getting everybody but focused on the person with a certain trait. Not capturing everyone we need to get the benefits. Not including people with other disabilities: (t (m/b)) Only punishing some of the people who evade tax. No(cid:271)ody"s goi(cid:374)g to (cid:272)are i(cid:374) ter(cid:373)s of pu(cid:374)ish(cid:373)e(cid:374)t. Equally depends on the purpose of law + who is captured. In some cases over-inclusiveness would be a problem in other cases under-inclusiveness would be a problem. Remedying problems around benefits can be tricky they do(cid:374)"t have to give (cid:271)e(cid:374)efits. Deals with government actions all of it.
