Description
Durkheim argued that society shapes us, who there are social factors outside of us. He argued for social bonds, which means that relationships hold society together (rituals, public ceremonies, division of labor). He said that the natural state of society is harmonious, that we cooperate to create society. He said that conflict is abnormal, and social problems are a glitch in the system.
