Document Summary
Introduction: three major constraints in doing social scientific research, scientific constraints, administrative constraints: whether or not you have the money to fund the project, whether or not your institution approves of the project. These constraints may halt the continuation of the project: ethical considerations must be kept in mind during all phases of projects: every step must take into mind the ethical constraints. Ie: you do an interview with the respondents but is it amicable for you to analyze the data to support your hypothesis and ignore those evidence/data that do not. You cannot do that you have to report both positive and negative findings. That is what is meant by all phases of the project. The ethical dimension of social research: some extreme examples of problematic research projects: You want to study the stress of losing ones pay check which is stressful.
