Document Summary

Methods and knowledge: through research, the research process, research is the foundation of sociological knowledge. Methods in social psychology i: traditions and practices. What is knowledge: the reason why we want to know how they are getting the knowledge determines how the knowledge is created and true. Two main ideas where knowledge comes from: agreement reality: things we know by being told so from others, ie: the earth is round: this is common knowledge that we take for granted. Everyday social psychology: we all have a basic knowledge of how the social world works, based on agreement reality and experience reality, ie: how friendship works, how to get a job. We all have ideas and knowledge about this from agreement reality and also from our own experiences from our areas of life. It is good to have that knowledge because it helps us to make decisions on a daily basis.
