Studying how race and ethnicity intersect with other categories such as nation, nation- state, gender, sexuality, language, religion, class, disability, citizenship etc. Exploring various strategies of resistance to racism, racialization and othering. All the readings are accessible though york u e-resources. Notion of aryan race from perspective from the nazis. But at the same time you are still being racist and marginalizing communities. Idea is that you speak the language of i feel your pain, democracy, antiracism and individuals. Usa idea of american accepting yet they have wars, acts of genocide, terrorize other communities, and marginalize first nations. Claim to be multicultural society but at the same time we are not.
