Acknowledgement that there are scholars in canada who are prominent in writing about racism, slavery, etc. We invoke the metaphors of slavery: i"m being treated like a slave . Little people know about the experience of slavery. Slave trade in western society is still by charge an invisible part of history. The un declared, in 2007, declared remembering the slave trade. Blacks were treated as items of commerce who were bought and sold by those in power. The silence is more than unforgivable given that, at the time, slavery under rode the entire rush of the economic system. Canada is part of the wider phenomenon of the atlantic slave trade in slavery: it was first a colony of france and britain, the two largest slave traffickers.
