Attribute the categories or levels of a variable: types of variables. Null hypothesis - states that there is no relationship or association between 2 variables. Alternative hypothesis - paired with the null hypothesis that states there is an association between iv and dv. Hypotheses: at least 2 variables, expresses a cause-effect relationship, can be expressed as a prediction, logical link between hypothesis and theory, falsifiable. Level of analysis- micro to macro levels a way to talk about the scope of an explanation or theory or hypothesis.
