What is economics: a mainstream (neoclassical) response today would be: the study of how society allocates scarce resources . Political economy: political economy predates the emergence of economics as a science. It deals with the political realm (the state), the private realm (the individual or household), and the interrelations between them. One can think about political economy as the study of the social relations, particularly the power relations, that mutually constitute the production, distribution, and consumption of resources (vincent mosco, 2009). Broadly speaking, jurisprudence is the study and theory of law. Legal reasoning: the philosophical and ethical aspects of law. Legal systems: the social and historical contexts of law. We will explore the relationship through 5 important categories: property, markets, good society", ideology and power, liberty. Appropriation of land is justified by the very fact that we need to eat to survive (ward, 101).
