Globalization gendered networks sex work, migrant domestic work, export-led supply chains; The gendered implications of globalization process: trade, production, finance microfinance. Feminist theories: mainstream theories ignore gender, limitations because they do not address gender, gender profound for power dynamics, not gender neutral, gender hierarchies. Masculization porbades globalization: mostly men, g8 leadership, military. Gender in terms of public policy: promote global security. Gender affects assess on resources: women depend on welfare; leads to vulnerability. Gender ideologies influence global organizations (wto, imf, wb) Gender is inherent in market logic: activities based on gendered assumptions. Gendered nature of globalization: how economic processes are gendered, macroprocesses of trade and finance, micro effects through gendered production networks . We survey the effects of globalization on the gendered division of labour at both macro and micro levels. At the macro level, we trace the effects of globalization of trade, production, and finance on women"s roles.
