Document Summary

Theatre and tourism: theatricality, space and environmental theatre. Gambaro asks theatregoers to engage with the idea that state sponsored torture is a performance for which the argentine citizens are the complicit audience (burns. Interconnection between: the theatre of the stage and the theatre of state terrorism: there is also an interconnection between fiction and facts (real vs. pretend violence) The audience is expected to question the role of the audience between theatre on and off stage. Environmental theatre is a branch of new theatre that was meant to increase the relationship between actors and audiences.
