Reports are always subjected too much criticism and it is only by writing in unexceptionable language for a specific readership that clear meanings are preserved. In the publishing world , the prelims are the pages that precede the main text . The title page shows a minimum of four items of information number , title , address , date . In addition , the author of the report may be mention . It is very important that a particular report can be found quickly even after years , it might be needed to establish some points to provide evidence in an argument or court case .
