Justice is the full development of the soul. Virtue - excellence specific to a things nature (flourishing: a shark"s ability to kill (fully actualized nature) Actualization of potential - being healthy - this is justice in humans. Nature starts out as natural talent and then develops to the part of your soul that dominates (desire, reason, spiritedness: two parts of nature, soul - which part dominates, full development. If not reason dominates your soul, you can be just within the city but not within your soul (unjust soul) Guardians may have just souls but are they just citizens: the issue of philosopher kings ruling. The city helps you be more just in your soul by education system: moderates you from your inclination, the roles/jobs moderate you as well and having to be governed by the other roles. Book 5 begins with an interruption over family (ownership like book 4 began)
