To all the gods: to thirty-three gods of manu. Creation: creation hymn, the gods came with the creation of the universe. The unknown god, the golden embryo: the embryo becomes a continuous androgynous birth images, features an unnamed god who is associated with prajapati. Purusa-sukta, or the hymn of man: the gods create the world by dismembering the cosmic giant, there is a mutual reliance btw male and female. The creation of the sacrifice: rituals, and divine, ancient and present, elements of the sacrifice, cosmic heat, heat created night, ocean, elements of time, and then the sunlight. The all-maker: creator is imagined as a sculptor, a smith, and a woodcutter/carpenter, but also the sacrificer and the victim of the sacrifice, described as the one who propped apart the sky and earth, who inspires thought, Aditi and the birth of the gods and answers questions: creation is described as being birthed by a woman // out of water.
