Precise memory the devil is in the details. Did the perp have facial hair? was the traffic light red, green, or yellow when the car hit the bus can help or hurt you. Try to get the witness to give you precise memories. Not only remember the big picture, but the specifics. Photo bias if the victim has seen the guy in a line up in the mug book, witness connects the guy to the crime regardless of actual relationship to crime. Process of elimination with photos being all shown at once. People must meet criteria to be a witnesses. Must be physically present at the event. Have to ask witnesses questions to challenge them, helps to vet them.
