Southeastern woodlands tribes- practice agriculture, semi-nomadic, stationery during winter, nomadic rest of the time. No indians domesticated grains, they grew corn, squash, beans (3 sisters) Northwest coast tribes- communal ethic, potlach- ritual, distribution of wealth, the coast was a wealthy society, no one in these societies would go hungry. Southwest tribes- tribal rivalries- pueblo, apache, navajo, lived in towns with agriculture with irrigation. Native american religion was animism- more success in this life.
