Document Summary

The universe and our lives are meaningless/valueless - absurd. All meaning and value arise from man"s own choice. But only the strong ones can face this void and dare to create his/her own values and meanings. Nietzsche calls the individual the (cid:522)ubermensche(cid:523) overman) All truth is relative to a particular perspective, there is no objective truth since the universe is objectively meaningless. If the these is objectively true then there is an objective truth after all! This opens the door to other objective truths. If it is not objectively true then it is philosophically uninteresting. Morality gets in the way of happiness. We only follow moral rules because of social conditioning. Some believe it is better to be immoral and pretend to get what they want. Only the weak/submissive types follow the rules while the strong rise above in order to pursue desires without any limits. (cid:522)god is dead and with his death morality went out the window.
