Not all children experience school the same way. Impacted on how well they will do and how they will experience the school system. Emphasis placed on girls and their sexual experiences than boys and their sexual experiences. Girls are often treated differently than boys when it is suspected or confirmed that they are sexually active. The u. s. department of education through its national center for education statistics measures the nation"s educational progress. Administers assessments to school children ages 9, 13, and 17 on their academic achievement in reading and math. Assessments show that 9- and 13-year-olds have improved their overall mathematics scores. American students are considered average in comparison to other countries. Education is primarily budgeted for at the state level. Federal government budgets about 2% of its overall budget to supplement the educational budgets of the states. Of these 48 states, 35 have decreased their education budgets between 2008 and the proposed 2013 budget by up to 21. 8% (arizona).
