The os figures out which programs need what. Ex: photoshop needs some, facebook needs some, etc. Memory is important because after awhile, you may run out of memory. Machine is still binary and only understands 1s and 0s. Computers are binary because electricity is binary. Other examples of companies that dominate: luxotica for glasses, debeers for diamonds. Msdos - the first os that bill gates created to present to ibm. Ibm tried to buy it, gates says: let"s lease it. Gates leases it to every pc in the entire world. Apple relies on strong supply and demand tactics. Apple made cool advertisements, had high price points because of high demand. When computer is on, hundreds of system software programs automatically configure the compute and find and enable the operating system.
