Totalitarian- a system in which absolute power is exercised over every aspect of life (mussolini, hitler, north korea, stalin) Authoritarian capitalism- allow people economic freedom but have regulations to limit noneconomic behavior (china) Democracy- a system in which absolute power lies with the people (us) Majoritarian- political power is equally distributed amongst everyone(democracy) Pluralism- membership to the elite should be open to everyone people influence the government, someone is always going to be more powerful than other. Elite theory- all political power rest in the hands of a small group and make decisions on the whole. Social movement theory- mass popular uprisings have the potential to introduce great changes in society.
