My first recommendation is to develop performance standards and units of work to be performed by the servers. If she develops a full set of performance standards for each job that she supervises, she will have a basis of a management system for her existing and new servers to go off of. Therefor it will reduce conflict, misunderstanding and everyone will know who is responsible for what. Performance standards should be clear, complete, accurate, specific and attainable. The second recommendation would be to apply a scientific management approach that allows maria to plan, improve and standardize operations to maximum the level of output through a systematic and rational technique. The second recommendation is providing training in which maria should develop a training program that will have its own training objective for each unit. Once the training is complete, the results of training will be tested and will be evaluated on the job performance training outcomes.
