It is useful in seeing ways the mainstream newspapers goes about things because people editorials are the voice of the newspapers and give a unit to analyze mainstream media. Attribution theory describes the principles that people use to make judgements about what caused an event, other people. People will explain why something occurred when there was an unexpected outcome or when desired haven"t been fulfilled as expected. Basic assumptions of attribution theory says that people use this to explain why something happened and use it to make inferences about a person or groups characteristics of how they act. People initially observe someone else"s actions and effects of those actions.
