PR 662 Lecture 61: The Procrastinator

7 views2 pages

Document Summary

The third most common frustration in team projects are procrastinators. These people wait until the last minute to do their part of the project. This results in their contribution being late or poor quality because they rushed it. It"s hard to tell free-riders and procrastinators apart in the heat of the moment. This is because both tend to contribute late and poor quality work that makes the rest of the team do more. Free-riders know they can get a good grade without doing their right amount of work. Procrastinators might budget the necessary time to complete their work, but inadequately anticipate the demands of other things in their life. Procrastinators force other team members to delay final editing or integration before the deadline if they wait until the last minute. This causes stress and frustration for everyone in the group. Some procrastinators find they work better under pressure of a deadline.
