What is his classification: some existing things are natural: : trees, water, fire, air, earth, plants, animals and their parts: some things are due to other causes: Don"t exist on their own for their own reasons. Foundation for their existence is to satisfy our needs. What is the substance ? (chapter 1: substance is what something is made up of, most important thing in the universe, every individual object has substance, e. g. Socrates still exists whether or not he"s bold or talking. But being bold and talking can"t exist if they don"t exist in something. Need to separate from the body and the soul to find pure forms: strictly against using 5 senses since the body confuses the soul.
