Lunar day: 24 hrs and 50 mins, 12 hrs and 25 mins apart. Perigee: moon closest to the earth. Apogee: moon furthest to the sun. Amphidromic point: water level doesn"t change. Cotidal line: every point on the line has high tide or low tide at the same tide. 3 types of tidal paths: diurnal. 1 high and low tide in 24 hr period: semidirunal. 2 high and 2 low tides per day: mixed tidal pattern. 2 highs and 2 lows per day.
