It had been very difficult to discover which genes have the most affect. All the behavioral genetics suggest that it as a genetic component- twin studies: anatomical. Loss of grey matter all over: most in the pfc and hippocampus, but its not cell body loss rather it is synapse or neuropil, meaning that there is something wrong in synaptic organization.
