Document Summary

Sexual disorders: paraphilia, disorder of sexual arousal causing distress, impairment, or harm this is the diagnostic criteria. It is important because a lot of people have things that sexually arouse them some of these may be a bit different but that does not qualify as a paraphilia. People with this disorder tend to have more than one paraphilia. They also may have comorbid conditions of anxiety/mood disorders as well as antisocial personality disorder: types. Fetishistic disorder: being aroused to an inanimate object. Arousal comes with picturing yourself as an actual member of the opposite sex. Pedophilic: a person (adult) is attracted to children or adolescents, specifier with inset, difficulty is that they do not think they are doing harm because they do not use force and describe their actions as love. They do not consider psychological harm to the victim: usage of child pornography is a predictor, 90% of abusers are men and 10% women.
