Cervix: end of vagina; mucus plug during pregnancy (to keep it protected); uterus will angle itself toward anus during pregnancy to prevent it from being a straight line from vagina. Uterus: body will hold growing fetus; top of uterus = fundus. Fundus will be palpated during pregnancy to ascertain how high it is. In post-partum, we need to get location & firmness after baby is born, ideally: nice contracted ball (like bicep contracted); start looking for at level of umbilicus. Fallopian tubes: actually the width of pencil lead; connects ovaries to uterus; fertilization occurs in (ampula?) area of the fallopian tube. Bladder is attached to the front part of uterus.
