Becomes an irresponsible wanderer: his memory seemed fine. Damasio somatic marker hypothesis: ventromedial prefrontal cortex, iowa gambling task. Each time you select a card from the deck you win a certain amount of money. If you pick cards from ab you win , if pick from cd you win . But each decks also have loss cards. You are not told about loss cards, but after experience of receiving loss cards, people switch from mainly choosing ab to cards in cd. Occasionally people will choose a card from ab, and when they do, their palms sweat a little longer because they know/feel they are doing something risky. Reversal learning fellows and farrah 2003: people who have damage in medial frontal lobe, task: learn a is good b is bad, and then they reverse the learned facts. People who have damage to medial frontal lobe learn it fine but can"t reverse it.
