Usufructural rights usage of land is given to you on certain conditions. Land sys reflective of their prevailing mode of economic activity. Hunger-gather -> pastoralist -> cultivation mixed agriculture (keep crops, but also livestock) Hunter-gatherer land ownership not really a practice, not tied to one particular place. Pastoralist semi nomadic (trans humance), not whole community moves, mainly just younger males. Ppl don"t own land tenant of the king. Muramati supposed to solve any conflicts that come up w/ land. Slash and burn- clears field w/ limited labor, restores phosphorus in soil.
