Lingua franca has more coverage, used in formal and modern fields. Indigenous language applies to cultural and endemic fields. Disparity in language function leads to loss by attrition. Replaced by aboriginal language = possibility that languages are still connected but becomes assimilation and not replacement. Replaced by english = associated to western culture, stark difference so people resist more towards this. In the long run, more harmful if replaced by aboriginal language because ultimately lead to replaced by english. Still should be people"s choice: if you want to preserve your language then make an effort to do so. There"s always a small possibility that more is out there, so the question.
