Document Summary
Poverty is one of the fastest growing problems for not only the us but on a global scale. The first refers to poverty where you can afford the basic necessities of life, like food, water and shelter. However, these people are not able to afford spending on much else. Absolute poverty is when people cannot even afford the basic amenities to living mentioned earlier. People may also be familiar with subjective poverty, where they compare others" lifestyle to their own, thus comparing the underprivileged lifestyle to their own. People in africa, for example in ethiopia, mainly live impoverished lifestyles. However, south africa and northern countries such as egypt have low rates of poverty. Over the years, africa"s average wealth compared to a global scale has been decreasing slowly. 2011 injured not only the people, but the economy as well. Here we see no farmland, little rainfall, and no irrigation systems placed throughout the country.
