Given a binary signal 1011, which mean to take an object and turn it on. A different signal would turn another one on or off. Decoder: given n inputs, there are 2n states; the decoder will send the right bit to the right output. For every state, there should be one output equal to 1, and the rest should be 0. It"s easy to create the circuit for the decoder truth table above: If the input was 00, the output on top would be 1, and the rest would be 0. The and gate on top could have been a nor gate, but by using bubble pushing, we could keep the symmetry of the circuit. Takes multiple signals and selects the chosen one. There are technically three inputs: a, b, and a selector (s). Depending on the number of inputs, the number of selectors will change.
