Object permanence: recognition that objects and/or persons continue to exist even when they cannot be seen. Manta pouch: quechua use this method to carry infants back pack like device that protects the infant from the harsh elements in the peruvian mountains and provides a secure environment close to the mother. Children who experience prolonged social deprivation may reach a point where it becomes difficult to establish secure or even meaningful relationships with others. Three themes from early childhood to adolescence: dealing with confusion concerns fears and conflicts, resisting and challenging adult rules an authority, and sharing and social participation. In interaction with other children and without the presence of adults they acquire a sense of cooperation and sharing whereas men emphasize more abstract principles of justice. With increased social participation in early childhood, children begin to understand how to relate to others in socially desirable ways.
