Anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, pica, rumination disorder, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder, other specified feeding or eating disorder, unspecified feeding or eating disorder. Very individualised food preference and food choice. Ed with restrictive/ avoidant tendencies commonly exclude/avoid carbohydrate and fats, yet may exhibit high sensory preference for sweet food. Ed with binging tendencies: high sensory preference for fatty food. In ed with pathological body attitures, body weight/shape and dieting outweigh taste responses. Associated with cognitive control over physiological preferences in order to manage body weight dictates food choice (ex: fat-free, sugar-free) Preferences for fat increased with body weight (no strong link with intake) Men preferred fat and protein mixers and liked beef steaks, roasts, doughnuts, cookies and cakes. Women preferred fat and sugar mixtures such as chocolate, cookies, doughnuts and cakes.
