Caenorhadbitis elegans and neuromuscular control: has a simplicity of behavior and design of nervous system that make it a great model for research. How we can look at the neuroethology of humans: remember, it is not as simple as something like the organism above! Other studies where accidents occurred somewhere in brain help researches make associations between behavior discrepancies and certain parts of brain. We can use imaging (fmri) to understand functionality of different parts of brain: for instance, can elicit fear responses and visualize on brain image. We recognize human faces information is contained on a neuron facial recognition and verbal recognition (we hear the person"s name) Brain activity mapping (bam): labs can record nerve cell activity in brain of organisms like larval fish. Remember: genes, neural circuits and behavior are linked. We want to combine behavioral genetics with neuroethology.
