Are Authoritarian Regimes Stable?
Some of them last longer than 70 years, but others last only a few months.
One factor is whether or not they’re legitimate.
Another factor is institutionalization.
o Some horizontal accountability for executive department/leaders
o Succession can be more smoothly managed
