It holds up a mirror and says this is who we really are. The watchdog of humanity, the voice of the voiceless. In journalism, you get a front-row seat to some of humanity"s largest stories. We remember , we interview the family members and friends, it"s about the person who died. Remembered as a person rather than a statistic. If anything happens to you while writing a story, make sure to tell your editor. But try to keep doing your job. Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of the press. Reporters/free press is the only profession that is explicitly protected by the constitution. Free flow of information, unbiased, uncorrupted from the government to the people. The people can be trusted/ freedom of the press. Whenever the people are well informed, they can be trusted with their own government. Our liberty depends on the freedom of the press and that cannot be limited without being lost.
